Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are integral to Da’aro Youth Project.
Volunteers support our youth clubs by welcoming our young people, serving them food, playing games and acting as role models.

Volunteers are an essential part of the Da’aro Youth Project team and help us to keep our services running year round.
We welcome volunteers from all sections of the community, particularly those with lived experience of the immigration or asylum system.
Following an accepted application, you will be invited for an induction and asked to complete a DBS check. After this, you will be undertake an Online Safeguarding Course and you will be able to start volunteering!
Role and responsibilities:
● Volunteers support the running of our youth clubs, through setting up the club, spending time with young people, serving dinner and helping to close down the club.
● Volunteers can take on specific roles at youth clubs such as leading on sports activities, art workshops, team building games and more - please mention this in your application form if you are interested!
● Volunteers can join our mentoring programme, offering 1-1 support to a young person during our youth clubs.
● Volunteers can support our team to run various trips and activities for young people throughout the year.
Requirements:
● Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
● Volunteers must be available for at least 2 youth clubs per month, for a minimum of 6 months.
● Update the DYP team with your availability and notify of any changes.
Reasonable adjustments can be made and can be discussed with our team.
